These stories have been handed down for thousands of years. Stories also explain, why things happen, where to go and not to go, how to find food, cultural practices, laws, history, family, associations, tribal boundaries and the relationships with every living creature and feature of land, sea and air.

 

My name is Jenny Bailey, I’m a Kamilaroi woman and a member of the Worimi Aboriginal Land Council. I am mother of seven children and work with disaffected Indigenous youth. My experiences are reflected in my art as I relate stories in my own way. My paintings have been faithfully reproduced on 29.7 cm x 42 cm premium canvass prints.
